Why SUBARU | Safety

Primary Safety

Aim of creating accident-free automobiles.

Inheriting the safety philosophy from its aircraft-manufacturing roots, SUBARU has always put safety first—starting with the basics of vehicle design. That includes a body shape that provides excellent visibility and an interface that is simple and intuitive to use.

With a clear view around the vehicle, drivers can spot potential hazards early—such as a small child nearby. Key controls, like the air conditioning switches, are also designed to be operated easily without looking away from the road, helping drivers stay focused.

By helping drivers detect potential risks at an early stage, SUBARU vehicles provide peace of mind for everyone on board.

SUBARU’s Commitment to Visibility

SUBARU vehicles are designed to deliver excellent visibility with minimal blind spots, helping drivers to notice potential hazards earlier and avoid accidents.
With situations such as children near the vehicle in mind, the pillar shapes are carefully designed so that objects around 1 metre in height can be seen through the front, rear, and side windows. Features such as Steering Responsive Headlights and Cornering Lamps also help drivers recognise pedestrians and cyclists more quickly, even on dark roads at night.
With clear visibility ensured both day and night, drivers can enjoy greater peace of mind behind the wheel.

An Intuitive, Easy-to-Use Interface

A user-friendly interface helps reduce distractions, allowing the driver to stay focused on the road.
For example, the navigation screen and multi-information display can be checked without having to move your eyes far from the instrument cluster. Frequently used controls, such as the climate system, are placed within easy reach and designed for intuitive operation.
Even when wearing gloves, the controls remain easy to use without feeling awkward.

An Optimal and Comfortable Driving Position

SUBARU cockpits are designed so drivers of varying heights and builds can find a comfortable, ideal driving position. A proper seating position helps you steer more accurately and respond quickly if you need to avoid a hazard.
Adjustable seats designed to hold you securely help keep you steady while driving, and the steering wheel can be moved up, down, forwards, and backwards to suit your preference.
With everything within easy reach, you can stay comfortable, alert, and focused.

A Clear, Driver-Focused Digital Layout

SUBARU’s driver-focused digital displays are designed to present key driving information clearly and allow intuitive operation.
Important information is shown on the digital instrument cluster and the EyeSight Assist Monitor, while vehicle settings and other functions are consolidated on the centre information display. Depending on the situation, the screens work together to show relevant information.
This helps drivers stay aware of the vehicle’s status without taking their eyes off the road.
